Why have Permanent Make-up?

Natural permanent makeup can help many people. Anyone who has over plucked their eyebrows and has to pencil in every day will be amazed at the results. People with allergies to conventional makeup or sports people who continuously reapply cosmetics will no longer be stuck.

Permanent makeup can correct facial asymmetries and help people who have lost eyebrows and eyelashes due to alopecia or chemotherapy.

Is Permanent Make-up safe?

The Precision Plus digital system used in these procedures is state of the art. And the only device to me medically certified. All needles  used during the procedure are sterile, individually packaged and are single use. The strict clinical environment ensures that all equipment is covered by protective film, which is discarded after each client – preventing cross-contamination.

How long does it last?

It is difficult to determine the length of time the pigment will remain visible in the skin as each person varies. Factors such as skin type, age and external factors can affect pigment holding. It is recommended that colour boosts are re-applied to freshen the appearance. With no touch ups the colour will fade but will always be present in the skin.

Does it hurt?

There are different methods available to help with pain management, including various topical anaesthetics.

What will I look like after the procedure?

Your skin should return to normal relatively quickly as any side effects such as swelling or redness is generally mild.  The treated area will always appear darker and more exact immediately after the treatment this will lighten and soften over the next few days while the skin heals. There may be a scaling over the area during healing do not pick or scratch as this may dislodge the pigment. Any tweaking is then performed at the top up appointment.

How long does the treatment take?

Actual procedure times vary between 30 minutes upwards per area.

How is the procedure carried out?

A pigment ‘patch test’ is performed a minimum of 24 hours prior to the treatment commencing, by placing a tiny amount of pigment into the skin usually in the hairline behind the ear, this is to ensure there is no allergy to the pigment.

On the day of treatment an assessment of your skin colour and face shape is carried out. A design is then created and a template drawn, to ensure you are completely happy with the shape before the procedure commences. The ‘top-up’ treatment carried out 4-6 weeks enables the fine-tuning of colour density and makes sure the pigments are retained uniformly.
